November 5th, 2024.
It’s a big day, a big week. I’ve been hearing about tension, sleeplessness, fear for the future, and a lot of “holding my breath.”
I loved what Kate McKean shared today in her publication
:Americans: please vote. If you’re not sure if you can vote, click here. If you have questions about your ballot, reach out to your local election officials here. The electoral system in America is broken, but our choice today is between a treasonous, convicted felon, and a former state attorney general, US Senator, and current Vice-President. Vote.
Vote.
Then regulate. Drink water. Sit down without a screen and eat a meal.
Maybe tonight you go totally boho rebel and turn off the media and take 18 minutes to do this self-loving, system-regulation practice with me. It’s simple, it will feel good and it’s better than wringing your hands in front of the TV.
It’s yours to watch, download and use as often as you like.
Grounding Breath + Gentle Regulation Practice
For the times you feel stuck or scattered, anxious or worried.
If you need an immunity boost.
If you're not digesting things literally or figuratively.
These simple movements will help you come back to your body and feel steady and grounded.
You'll also get a breath tool you can use anywhere anytime to soothe and calm. And lastly, my go-to energetic affirmation, which can be used daily.
Props: a couple of blankets, throw or bed pillows
~
May this practice bring ease.
May it soothe your system.
May we know we will be ok no matter how this week goes.
We will continue to care for each other, show up for what matters and do our own inner work to make the world a better place.
~
Sending love in all directions,
Michelle
SACRAMENTO: Last in-person workshop of the year
What’s the best way to breathe?
Should we breathe like babies do?
Should I direct my breath or let it be natural?
What is a ‘natural’ breath?
I bet you’ve been told in almost every yoga class you’ve ever taken that belly breathing is The Best Breath.
Guess what? The constant pattern of belly breathing is most likely doing more harm than good.
Read more about why and sign up for this important workshop here.

FREE GUIDE: Support for Hysterectomy Recovery
If you are preparing to have a hysterectomy, you may have talked to friends, done some research or even found a support group. I did all of these, and still, there were things no one told me about what to expect or how to get ready.
When it became clear that a lot of things were left out of my pre-op information, I started taking notes so that I could share a more honest picture with friends who might have a hysterectomy in the future so that their recovery would be easier than mine.
That’s where this free guide came from. Please share with anyone who needs it.
We will indeed be ok no matter what. I believe now more than ever we must each shine our brightest light into the world. Try to be 1% better each day. Support each other and just be. It's time for human be ing. This practice did and will continue to come in handy as the weeks and months go by.
